About me
I am currently an assistant professor in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Texas Tech University.
Education
- Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics, University of Houston (2014).
Advisor: Prof. Jing-Mei Qiu
Professional Experience
- Assistant professor, Texas Tech University (Sept. 2017 – present).
- Visiting research associate, Michigan State University (Aug. 2014 – Aug. 2017).
Mentor: Prof. Andrew J. Christlieb
Research Interests
- Dimension reduction methods with high order accuracy and structure preservation for high-dimensional problems, including sparse grids, low-rank tensor decompositions, and machine learning.
- High order numerical methods for hyperbolic conservation laws and Hamilton-Jacobi equations.
- High order semi-Lagrangian methods and their applications in kinetic simulations, computational fluid dynamics, and atmospheric modelings.
